As the 2027 presidential race gathers momentum, the wife of former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has appealed to Nigerians to support her husband’s ambition to lead the country.
Mrs Titi Atiku said her husband, who is approaching 80, is no longer driven by personal wealth but by a desire to contribute to Nigeria’s development and impact the younger generation.
In a message circulating online, Mrs Atiku described her husband as a “sellable material” for the presidency, stressing that his focus is on educating Nigerian youths about politics and helping to shape the country’s future.
She was quoted as saying:
“My Husband, Atiku Abubakar, Is A Sellable Material. He’s About To Turn 80 Years Old, And He Just Wants To Educate Nigerian Youths About Politics. He Doesn’t Want Nigeria’s Money.” — Titi Atiku
The statement comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with parties and presidential aspirants stepping up efforts to win the support of Nigerians.
Mrs Atiku’s message is essentially a call for voters to see her husband’s presidential bid beyond personal ambition, presenting it as an opportunity to contribute his experience to national development and youth empowerment.
