The Accelerated Teacher Professionalisation Pathway (ATPP) is a national initiative designed to provide qualification pathways for non-professional teachers, strengthen teaching quality and support the development of a highly skilled teaching workforce across Nigeria.
The initiative is expected to provide professional qualification pathways, teacher capacity development, support for Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration, lifelong professional learning, career progression opportunities and enhanced teaching competence.
For AFED, participation in the initiative represents an opportunity to deepen its advocacy for quality and accessible education, while supporting national efforts to ensure that more Nigerian children are enrolled in school and have access to qualified teachers.
Hon. Orji’s dual engagement in education advocacy and grassroots politics is also placing his educational agenda under increasing public attention as the 2027 elections approach.
Ukata News understands that the workshop is being held at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Abuja, Uke Street, Abuja, with participants expected to depart on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
