The National President of the Association for Formidable Educational Development (AFED), Hon. Orji Kanu Emmanuel, is among dignitaries and speakers participating in the ongoing Accelerated Teacher Professionalisation Pathway (ATPP) Delivery Workshop in Abuja.

Hon. Orji, who is also the African Democratic Congress (ADC) flagbearer for the House of Representatives seat representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State in the 2027 general election, is said to be enjoying strong support from his growing network of supporters across the country, particularly within the constituency where he is seeking to serve.

At the three-day national technical workshop, Hon. Orji delivered an insightful presentation, sharing perspectives and best practices on developing competent, professionally grounded teachers capable of improving learning outcomes and advancing academic excellence.

He also made valuable contributions to discussions on strategies for reducing the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria, an area AFED has continued to prioritise through its educational development initiatives.

The workshop, which runs from September 2 to 4, 2026, is focused on finalising the delivery architecture of the ATPP and strengthening efforts towards the professionalisation of Nigeria’s teaching workforce.

It is convened under the authority of the ATPP Technical Working Group (TWG), inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suiwaba Said Ahmad.

The overall objective is to finalise, document and secure institutional adoption of the ATPP delivery framework.
