Obi Unveils Policy Framework to Win 2027 Election
NRM inaugurates Presidential Campaign Council, unveils Esther Rescue Nigeria Agenda

The National Rescue Movement (NRM) has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election and unveiled what it described as the “Esther Rescue Nigeria Agenda”, its policy framework for the election.
The party’s National Chairman, Prince Chinedu Obi, while inaugurating the campaign council, described the framework as a roadmap for addressing some of the major economic, security and social challenges confronting Nigerians.
The NRM said the campaign council would coordinate the party’s mobilisation, outreach and engagement activities as it seeks to take its message to voters across the country.
Presenting the party’s policy priorities, Obi said the NRM would focus on economic development, security, education, healthcare, infrastructure and improved governance.
On the economy, the party said it would prioritise measures aimed at strengthening the naira, reducing economic hardship, supporting productive sectors and creating a conducive environment for investment and job creation.
Education, according to the party, would receive greater attention through improved access to quality education as well as stronger technical and vocational training programmes.
The NRM also promised to improve the standard and accessibility of public healthcare facilities while strengthening the country’s healthcare system.
On security, the party said it would pursue reforms aimed at strengthening the nation’s security architecture and improving the capacity of relevant agencies to protect lives and property.
The party further said it would promote local production and reduce dependence on imported goods as part of efforts to strengthen the domestic economy.
Obi urged members of the Presidential Campaign Council to work collectively and take the party’s policy proposals to Nigerians nationwide.
He said the campaign would focus on engaging voters with the NRM’s proposed solutions to the country’s economic and social challenges.
The NRM presidential candidate, Dr Esther Nkem Okereke, said the party would run what she described as an all-inclusive government if elected in 2027.
Okereke, who emerged as the party’s presidential candidate at its national convention in May, has previously described her political platform as a national rescue mission focused on issues including security, economic development, education, healthcare, electricity, job creation and governance reforms.
Also speaking, the Director-General of the NRM Presidential Campaign Council, Alhaji Sani Garba, called on young Nigerians to join the party and contribute to efforts to address poverty and other challenges confronting the country.
The party urged its members and supporters to remain committed to its programme, as it prepares to commence wider mobilisation and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
