Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has appointed journalist and publisher, Mr. Amos Dunia, as Special Adviser on Public Affairs.

The appointment was announced in a statement by the Director of Strategic Communications of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation, Richard Ihediwa, who said it takes immediate effect.

Dunia is an experienced journalist and media professional with a background in both broadcast and print journalism. He has worked with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), New Nigerian Newspapers, The Sun Newspapers and Blueprint Newspapers. He is also the co-founder of Forefront Magazine and its online news portal.

He previously served as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, and later as National Consultant of the union on politics and union matters.

His appointment is expected to bring his wealth of experience in journalism, public commentary and strategic communication to the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation as it intensifies efforts to promote its Reset Nigeria message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The presidential candidate urged campaign members, political leaders, APM supporters and Nigerians to remain steadfast in the collective quest to use the 2027 general election to reset the country and place it on the path of stability, national cohesion and economic prosperity.
